Thinkcarer delivers the Carers Mental Health Support Service across Derbyshire (Excluding Derby City)

This service plays a crucial part in recognising and highlighting the valuable role carers have, and in providing information, assistance and opportunities for carers to ensure that their own health and wellbeing is maximised.

Access to the Derby City Service

As of 31st December 2014 Thinkcarer are no longer able to support Carers in the Derby City area.  Carers wishing to access the new Derby City Service will need to use the following contact details.

Who we are


The thinkcarer service is delivered as part of the icare consortium.

This consortium has been formed by P3 (people potential possibilities), Derbyshire Mind and Amber Trust to support local carers.

With over 50 years of experience between them of supporting people with Mental Health problems in Derbyshire, icare is bringing its expertise to benefit carers. icare is excited about delivering this service and will do so with comprehensive local knowledge and skills that will enable them to really enhance the support that is available to carers in Derbyshire.

Making a referral

To meet the criteria and be eligible for this service the Carer must be a Derbyshire County resident and the person being cared for must be an adult over the age of 18
